More and more research points to social and emotional skills—like cooperating and helping others—as the foundation of thriving in life. Students with strong skills in these areas get along better with their peers. They are also more likely to graduate with higher grades and do better professionally.
BCS values mindfulness and affective skills in students so that they develop behaviors and attitudes to do well in their personal and professional lives. SEL helps the students to live and interact with their classmates, handle the demands of the academic and non-academic curriculum with resilience and continuously build upon their learning.
